Der Bariton aus Bayreuth studierte an der Hochschule für Musik in München. Als Ensemblemitglied der Oper Kiel sang er u. a. die Titelpartien in DON GIOVANNI und IL BARBIERE DI SIVIGLIA. Von 2004 an war Simon Pauly in Krefeld / Mönchengladbach engagiert und interpretierte dort u. a. Wolfram / TANNHÄUSER. Für diese Interpretation wurde er vom Opernwelt-Jahrbuch als „Bester Nachwuchssänger“ nominiert. Mit dem Münchner Rundfunkorchester sang er 2007 Fortners „The Creation“.
Simon Pauly ist seit Beginn der Spielzeit 2006/2007 festes Ensemblemitglied der Deutschen Oper Berlin, wo er 2005 als Papageno debütierte, und war hier u. a. als Moruccio / TIEFLAND, Silvio / PAGLIACCI, Bariton / CARMINA BURANA, Marullo / RIGOLETTO, Konrad Nachtigall / MEISTERSINGER, Ottokar / FREISCHÜTZ, Ping / TURANDOT, Harlekin / ARIADNE AUF NAXOS, Morales / CARMEN, Dandini / LA CENERENTOLA, Schaunard / LA BOHÉME, Silvano / MASKENBALL, Der Einäugige / FRAU OHNE SCHATTEN, Derville / OBERST CHABERT, Graf Lamoral / ARABELLA und Simon / MARIE VICTOIRE zu erleben.Productions
