Salome Jicia

Die junge georgische Sopranistin Salome Jicia wurde 1986 geboren. Ihr Bühnen-Debüt gab sie als Rosina in Mozarts LA FINTA SEMPLICE in einer Produktion des Concorso Aslico Per Giovani Cantanti Lirici 2013 sowie als Aspasia in Mozarts MITRIDATE, RE DI PONTO an der Staatsoper Tiflis. Sie ist Preisträgerin verschiedener Wettbewerbe, darunter der Erste Preis des International Music Festival of Turkey (2012), der Lado Ataneli International Singing Competition, der Preis für die beste Mozart-Interpretation beim Francisco Viñas International Singing Contest (2015) und der Erste Preis und der Maria-Fortyn-Preis für die beste Darbietung eines Werkes von Stanislaw Moniuszko im Rahmen des International Stanisl Moniuszko Vocal Competition in Polen (2016). Meisterklassen besuchte sie u. a. bei Renata Scotto und Alberto Zedda.

Ihre Karriere führte sie zunächst nach Polen, Georgien und Berlin. Später interpretierte sie Aspasia / MITRIDATE RE DI PONTO beim Armel Music Festival in Budapest, Modestina und La Contessa di Folleville / IL VIAGGIO A REIMS in Pesaro, Semiramide in der Tschaikowskij-Konzerthalle im Rahmen des X. International Music Festivals in Moskau. Sie sang in einem Gala-Konzert an der Seite von José Carreras in Qutaisi und gab Donna Anna / DON GIOVANNI in Liege. Zu ihren weiteren Engagements zählen Semiramide in Nancy, TORVALDO E DORLISKA und SEMIRAMIDE in Pesaro, LA TRAVIATA an der Deutschen Oper Berlin, DER BARBIER VON SEVILLA an der Seattle Opera, LA CLEMENZA DI TITO in Lausanne, MARIA STUARDA in Zürich sowie LA DONNA DEL LAGO in Liege. In der Partie der Mathilde in Gioachino Rossinis GUILLAUME debütiert sie in der Spielzeit 2019/20 an der Bayerischen Staatsoper.

Zu ihren jüngsten Engagements zählen u. a. Semiramide und Matilde / ELISABETTA, REGINA D'INGHILTERRA bei den Rossini-Festspielen in Pesaro, Donna Elvira / DON GIOVANNI in Rom, Elisabetta / MARIA STUARDA am Opernhaus Zürich, Pamina / DIE ZAUBERFLÖTE am Royal Opera House in London, Bianca / BIANCA E FERNANDO am Teatro Carlo Felice in Genua, Desdemona / OTELLO in Liège, Suzel / L'AMICO FRITZ beim Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Adina / L'ELISIR D'AMORE in Seattle, NORMA im Concertgebouw Amsterdam und in der Elbphilharmonie sowie Anna Bolena / IL BASTARDA im La Monnaie / De Munt und Giselda / I LOMBARDI ALLA PRIMA CROCIATA wiederum in Liège. An die Deutsche Oper Berlin kehrt sie als Semiramide ins Haus der Berliner Festspiele im Oktober 2022 zurück.

On 1 December, it's that time again. Our already traditional Advent calendar welcomes you with free admission. Members of the Deutsche Oper Berlin ensembles look forward to shortening the days until Christmas Eve with personalised musical programmes in which you will hear Christmas classics as well as absolute rarities, perhaps never heard before. Just come by and experience our artists up close.
