At the beginning of the 60s, a music developed from the influences of soul, rhythm and blues and jazz, which, due to its enormous danceability and shrill stage shows, has become a style-defining influence right up to our own time. James Brown, Bootsy Collins, Marceo Parker, Fred Wesley and George Clinton sang and played their audiences through intoxicating nights, the concerts of Barry White, Prince or Michael Jackson are legend. New R&B, metal or hip hop would be unthinkable without funk. The style of our big band, shaped by Manfred Honetschläger, has funk written into its DNA. Experience the greatest hits on this late summer night, played by the Funk Brothers, soloist of the evening is the great Pat Appleton.
