Mirjam Groth (1. Alt), geboren in Essen, studierte zunächst Cello an der Hochschule für Musik Köln. Darüber hinaus nahm sie privaten Gesangsunterricht bei Helga Tillmann-Eicke in Düsseldorf. Seit 1992 ist sie Mitglied im Chor der Deutschen Oper Berlin.
