Murat Acikada (1. Bass) wurde 1977 in Essen geboren. Nach der Grund- und Oberschule in der Türkei erfolgte die maßgebliche künstlerische Weiterbildung in Berlin an der Universität der Künste bei Prof. Anke Eggers. Seit der Spielzeit 2006/2007 war er Mitglied des Internationalen Opernstudios des Opernhauses Zürich. Er arbeitete dort regelmäßig mit Francisco Araiza und Roland Herman und wirkte in zahlreichen Produktionen mit.
Seit 2009 ist er Mitglied des Chores der Deutschen Oper Berlin.
