If you don’t become the ocean, you’ll be seasick every day
Songs and Stories with Larissa Sirah Herden

You will find the complete programme here.

Seafaring tales tell of faraway lands and great adventures, but also of battles against the forces of nature and eerie encounters at night and in storms in the vastness of the sea. The FLYING DUTCHMAN is also up to mischief there. One of Wagner's most popular operas is about him. But it is short - and there is much more to tell about the DUTCHMAN.

That's why the extended version: THE FLYING DUTCHMAN from 4.00 pm invites the whole family to "Captain's Tea". In the warmth of the Tischlerei, there will be sailor stories, water fairy tales and songs, sung and read by Samuel Schneider and Vicky Krieps, who can currently be seen in the leading role in Margarethe von Trotta's cinema film "Ingeborg Bachmann - Journey into the Desert".

From 5 p.m., the motto is "If you don't become the ocean, you'll be seasick every day". In an afternoon late-night special, Larissa Sirah Herden tells and sings about great longing, eternal love, homesickness and wanderlust, storms and lulls and the windward and leeward side of life.
