The Deutsche Oper Berlin will not be able to show its programme on the main stage again until the beginning of November - until then the orchestra levies will be renovated.
How deep it goes down, what technology and lifting machines are installed under the musicians, the members of the Förderkreis were able to explore all this on an exclusive tour with the technical director Uwe Arsand.
In the future, it will be possible to easily drive the orchestra pit and adjust it to Wagner and Mozart height.
These insights, as well as the ride in the Prospekte lift with almost thirty people, were a unique highlight for many and fuelled the anticipation for the opera autumn at the Deutsche Oper Berlin.
