In the proven and moving mixture of word, image and sound, musicians of the orchestra remember former employees of the opera who were expelled by the Nazis from 1933 onwards. Between movements, Margarita Broich reads from personal documents of Rudolf Bing (head of the artistic administration office), Edgar Frank (principal dancer), Nelly Hirth (dancer) and Else Liebert (rehearsal pianist).
